Grindelwald First: One Day Itinerary

The views from the Cliff Walk were just your warm-up as the real adventure begins after that. For your first activity, you can either try the First Flyer or the First Glider. First Flyer is an 800-metre zip line, where you will zip through the skies at a speed of 84 kilometres per hour and go from Grindelwald First to Schreckfeld. If that's not your vibe, First Glider pulls you back and then lets you fly like an eagle at a top speed of over 80 kilometres per hour. You can try one or both experiences anytime between 9 AM and 4:45 PM if the weather stays good.

Now comes the part where you need to descend back, for which you get to ride a Mountain Cart and a Trottibike. The Mountain Cart takes you to Bort, then the scooter-bike mix Trottibike takes you to Grindelwald. They are fun, exciting, good for all ages, and run from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.

After all your morning adventures, you can take a break with a scenic hike to Bachalpsee. This alpine lake trail is quite easy and has a gentle incline, so even if you have no experience, you can come along. Since the trail is around 3 kilometres each way, it will take you around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the hike.

What makes this hike special is that along the way, you see the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. The lake in itself is one of the most beautiful spots of the Swiss Alps, and looks even more stunning when the mountains reflect on the water on calm days.
